Joy's Wedding
This weekend was absolutely gorgeous!! It was JOY N ROB’S WEDDING!!!! I woke up at 7.15am, had a nice, long hot shower, and then Josh came to pick me up and send me to Joy’s by 8am.
We got ready, our make up was done by.. omg.. a Bobbie Brown consultant!! So it was fantastic.. My hair was pretty much done by Tiffany (Thank you so much babe) and got into our dresses. Okay at this point I must confess that I hated my dress. Not the colour (which I think is totally cool), but the layout.. it made my hips look as wide as Nigera Falls. OMG. And, as a singer, I couldn’t really breathe deeply and properly in that dress, so that made singing harder… I hope I did okay. Everyone was real nice about how I looked but that’s still okay.
The tea ceremony was so good. I am so having a tea ceremony!! It was so productive.. I think you get back most of what you spend on the wedding on that ceremony alone.. was fully awesome. Then, I left for the church first (to warm up my voice and rehearse one last time).
The ceremony was.. really good. It was absolutely spectacular, think the groom got abit emotional when he said how much he loved her.. awww it was lovely. At one point I thought Joy’s parents were going to start bawling.. It was such a lovely ceremony. Joy looked so happy.
After the ceremony we had refreshments briefly, and then went all over Adelaide to take bridal photos.. I swear that there has never been so many photos taken of me in one day. And it was freezing cold too! Well it was a gray, cloudy day in winter. But it turned out really well! I now know where the good photography spots are in Adelaide. OMG! On a side note.. And.. if anyone asks me when my turn is coming up again.. I swear.. I will sock him or her!!!! You would not believe how many people came up to me and asked me that!!! UNREAL!!
Then we made our way to Sferas, a silver service restaurant for the wedding reception. YUMMY! The usual things were done.. the bride and groom’s first dance together (awww im so having dancing at my wedding), speeches.. I thought I was almost going to cry.. AWWWW AND, being part of the bridal party rocks – you get served first. But I couldn’t really eat because of my stupid dress blocking my breathing.. so I started drinking.. and drinking..
Haha I shalt not go into details here, but lets just say.. I must have had at least 6-7 glasses of wine/champagne.. and I cant really remember getting into bed. Josh says I was saying random things and they were really funny. He also said that everytime I stumbled to the loo to spew my hands were everywhere for balance and I couldn’t really walk. Well Josh looked after me well (DIDDLYPOP!!) he took me home (I wanted to go out), and then he gave me water and looked after me till about 3am when I fell asleep and he left for home.
Sunday morning I woke with the most awful headache.. serves me right I suppose. I don’t think I will ever do that again.. Oh well, at least now I know I can hold my liqueur well, and that I don’t turn red like an asian normally does when drinking. Josh came over, and I got dressed and showered. Then we went grocery shopping. I came home and he left after helping to haul the bags in. There and then I crashed on the couch.
Hah So! That was my fantabulous weekend.. now Joy n Rob are on their honeymoon. Hah I love my weekends so.. God is so gracious.. it didnt even rain on their wedding day.
deb's outta there..
