Starry Victor Harbour
On the Adelaide Cup long weekend, we went for our church camp down at Victor Harbour. I sent Milo for a stayover with Aunty Joy and Uncle Rob. Hahah Josh picked me up on Saturday morning at 6.30am, cos we had to get there early to set up (as he’s in-charge of music). But the drive up was good.. stopped by Maccas for Brekkie.
Simon Malcolm (Songwriter at the Edge Church and writer of Great Day and Building your House) came to speak in a workshop – about writing songs, and playing. He also heard one of our songs (mainly Jerry and mine).. which was an experience in itself.. I told myself.. “ok.. if I don’t do this now, I will never muster up the courage to record it on a CD and send it (besides I don’t know how to as well).
Went down okay – Simon put a different spin on the song – and Uncle Melvin heard it too. So I guess im heaps relieved because I thought it was crap.
Thank you for that opportunity, and the weather and the fun.. It was so refreshing, and the nature that you created and shaped.. all your work…On Sunday night Josh and me took some time out and went for a walk along the beach. Well we didn’t get very far – just sat down on the first bench that we saw.. haha and just looked up at the galaxy – saw a shooting star.. made wishes.. haha the whole sky was just alight with stars.. and shapes and sizes.. I mean the sky was literally falling with stars, there were so many.. was awesome.
Sitting there with Josh.. just sitting there.. that was it for me. That was it for me.
This is it for me. This is for forever.. You are everything to me. You mean everything to me.Then we (okay he) drove back on Sunday afternoon. Was nearly falling asleep, so I decided to just sing at the top of my lungs to every song that came on the radio.. haha Josh nearly drove me into a ditch for doing that hahaha at one point shouts of “Shutup… SHUTUP!! YOU IDIOT!!!” hahaaha could be heard.
Then after dropping me home, we both fell asleep. He kicked me off the futon, so I had to resort to sleeping on the sofa. He went home and I continued sleeping. He then came back and we warmed up leftovers and had dinner, and watched Run Fat Boy Run. Its actually directed by David Schwimmer (Ross from friends), and its pretty funny!! Hahaha. Josh was laughing for the most of it.. I just went along with it.
Then, Joy & Rob dropped Milo off, and stayed for abit. Then Milo and me went to bed and Josh left.
Tuesday had a voice lesson, a 23rd party (we didn’t end up going for that but we are gonna take him out sometime), and then a basketball game. WOW. Hah im really busy!! Tonight im babysitting Lil and Ed. Friday is the only free night I have, and I think I have to clean the house (and do 3 weeks worth of laundry before Dad gets here on Saturday)!!!
