So Blessed....
Just came back from GRIP camp. It was so good. The set-up for the stage was amazing. The BTS (Behind-the-Scenes) team did a fantastic job. THey really, really did. I wish I could serve like that. Its so cool. I will try to get pictures of the stage up (If I can).
For one, we recently purchased $1200 worth of lights.. revolving lights.. flashing, coloured lights. Those you see at Hillsongs that have patterns thrown upon the crowd. In addition to that, we also have stationary normal coloured garden lights on stage - yellow, red, green, blue - you name it we have it!!
THROW in a smoke machine - YES people, we DID have a bitchin smoke machine!!! Controlled by whoever was playing drums - Wong, Jerry and Aaron mainly.
So, for the atmosphere, as mentioned, we had crazy lights, coloured lights, and a smoke machine. FURTHERMORE, the BTS team made a huge Banner. The theme was "DEEPER, STRONGER, FURTHER" and it was based around a super-hero theme. So, they drew "GRIP CAMP 2007", the slogan as well as a picture of Astro Boy. IT was so cool. We had a theme night as well, where everyone had to dress up as a superhero. Josh dressed up as Gambit (go figure), Kim was Lara Croft, Gayle was Sailormoon, ANYWAY, it was soo good. And the BTS did heaps of signs - all BY HAND. They did the Wonder-Woman logo, the Batman Logo.. it looked so professional and good!!
Alright, here come the spirituals..
THe speaker was fully sic!! He like totally blew me away. Everything he said was spot-on, nailing me. And, one of the best parts, is looking at Becky and Gayle worship lead. I mean.. I feel so encouraged and blessed by them. They are awesome, super go-getter chicks who DONT let up! I feel so thankful that God would actually let me have a tiny, small part with them - All those "vocal" lessons, as well as "worship-leading" lessons with Jerry and me. When they led, the Holy Spirit fell. I mean I have never seen some of the kids worship the way they did.
That's my heart. I guess. I wanna see people worship - wholeheartedly. And unlock their full potential in vocals especially (my area!!) to lift God and the Church up. Spiritually, as well as technically. I wanna see them go further and deeper in their relationship with GOd, and become stronger in character (well not physically for women - lol that'll just make girls burly). And be true worshippers!! HOW COOL is that?!!
