A Tribute to the Sound Guys :)
I've just been waiting for my cable internet to kick in before I do any blog posts and upload any photos :) sorry people!! But today I just feel so compelled to write something about the wonderful and awesome sound guys at my church in Adelaide, South Australia. This post is fully dedicated to them - especially Uncle Victor.
Every week, week in, week out they have been there faithfully serving. Especially Uncle Victor. There is a practice on saturdays, 1.30pm to about 3ishpm, as well as a dry run through practice on Sunday morning at 8am. When I rock up to practice on saturdays, I usually see Uncle Victor running around, making sure everything is right - making awesomely sure that the quality of the sound and music in AACC is the best that it can possibly be. So this means he comes earlier - around 1 to 1.15pm to set up. Our church just recently bought new sound speakers, and it has been a PAIN trying to figure out how to work them, where to put them, where to put the main sound system etc. Recently he's been recording our worship sessions, and is currently trying to figure out how to do it better and improve us. :)
I have never ever seen Uncle Victor complain.
I have never ever seen Uncle Victor angry. He may look stern and fierce, but he's not.
Everytime I look at what he's doing.. my heart just fully overflows with gratitude, and I am just so humbled by him - and his servant attitude and heart for God.
Uncle Victor truly sees this as his ministry - he truly sees this as a Call from GOD.
Uncle Victor sees this ministry as something bigger than He is, and is prepared to dig in and persevere to fufill God's call in his life.
Uncle Victor, you are an inspiration to me, and not just me I'm sure. Jerry also told me exactly what I'm writing here. We both feel the same way, AND im pretty sure everyone does too. :) We are like.. in awe of your dedication and servant heart.
Not sure if u will read my blog, but oh well :) If you are, I just wanna say thank you so much. What you bring to the worship ministry - you just make us look good. You challenge me to be the very best that I can be - to bring excellence to the Church and to ultimately make God - through the church - look good to the world. THANKS HEAPS!! :)
deb's outta there..
