Terengganu :) im in terengganu.
YES Im in Terengganu. Unbelievable. After like.. 10 hours of sitting in the bus. I mean.. because some areas were flooded so the bus had to take a different route. BUT ITs ok!! Slept most of the way - i didnt even wake up to get down for the lunch pitstop. Too tired la.
Anyway.. yeah since Ive been in Terengganu.. afew well known cliche sayings have taken on a WHOLE new level for me.
1) "The early Bird catches the worm." OR, better put, "Early to bed, early to rise."
Crap la.. slept a whole 8 hours in the bus, then slept at 11pm last night. Because there wasn't anything to do. Today, my grandma woke me up at like 8am. OH well.. wasn't that much of a loss cos I got to discover the true meaning of these other sayings...
2) Little kids should be seen and NOt heard
Well.. this one was more self-imposed. Don't really understand hokkien, so sat for like the whole day just stoning there while my grandparents chatted and visited their friends.. all in hokkien (I think).
3) "Your grandfather's Road AHHHh!?!!"
YEAH. Terengganu is the only place where i can say YES to the above. "YES, and then SOME." It turns out my great-great-great-grandfather was made like in charge of the chinese community or something like that. So his family got the land from the government for like nothing. They still own it.. passed down by generations. And there is a road in the middle of my grandfathers land. So i can honestly say that YES ITS MY grandfather's road. SO cool right.. lol
Alright. Im coming back on THursday!!! :) YAY!! I can't wait!!! lol
