Engaged!!!
That is something I most certainly am not!!! haha Just kidding.. But guess what??
My friend Emma is Engaged!!!! To her lovely fiance Richard!! (Don't know the guy at all). She just messaged me out of the blue two days ago, telling me that she got engaged.. wow..
Ok for those that don't know.. Emma used to live next door to me in Goss Building.. haha i remember knocking on her door, hanging out in her room, eating her food in her fridge, making a complete nuisance of myself with and for her, going to her church (just a walk away from where we lived).. Having those deep late night conversations, walking into her room when she was sleeping and poking fun at her. On saturdays, we also used to walk all the waayy down to Dominoes (when I didnt' have a car) and order 2 huge seperate pizzas, and finishing most of them on the walk back. Then we both said we wanted to lose weight.. so after dinner we would go for "Jogs" around the whole block area.. mostly WALKing and Talking, so I guess that didn't do much..
Emma is the same age as me, 20 (so I'm 19, but her birthday is in December). But She is from Queensland, up in Townsville, and she is a true blue Aussie... Brownish red hair, blue eyes (without contacts)... u get the pic??? When she first told me, I like.. started hyperventilating over the phone... cos i freaked out. WHAT THE!!??
I guess in the Chinese culture, especially in Singapore, its startling to hear this because we normally get married after we finish our degrees, buy houses and are financially set for life.. then we choose a spouse.. haha correct me if I am wrong. Man.. She told me this:
" If the only thing that scares you more than spending the rest of your life with him is spending your life
without him, then yes you should marry him"
Does this make sense? I reckon this is a good way to find out if you want to marry the person.. to see if NOT spending the rest of your life with this person scares you more than spending your life with this person.
Well as you can see Im back from the ski trip!!.. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! went snowboarding, now i can sort of "snake" and im a goofy!! (which means im left footed). More on this later on.. Now im just so hung up on my friend getting engaged!! She's my age!! haha ok ill stop being an idiot now.
